This Privacy Policy explains how Plustek Inc. (Taiwan) and its affiliate Plustek Technology (North America) (“Plustek”, “we”, “us”) collect, use and protect your information when you visit plustek.ai (the “Site”). Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the Request a Free Test form we collect the details you provide - such as your name, email, phone, company and the information about your documents and workflow needed to run the test.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we collect standard usage data through cookies and similar technologies - such as pages viewed, clicks, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you reached the Site.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how the Site is used so we can improve it. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which produces aggregated heatmaps and anonymised session replays to show how visitors interact with pages; Clarity masks text you type (such as form fields) by default. These tools set cookies and process usage data.

We use Google Consent Mode: analytics and recording cookies are not set until you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can decline. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings.

How we use your information

• To respond to your Free Test request and contact you about it.
• To operate, analyse and improve the Site and our content.
• To keep the Site secure and prevent misuse.

Legal basis (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies, and on our legitimate interest and steps to respond to your request for handling form submissions.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site: Google (Analytics and Tag Manager), Microsoft (Clarity analytics) and Netlify (hosting and form delivery). Form submissions are sent to our sales team by email. These providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We store personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose it was collected for. Google Analytics data is retained for up to 50 months and then deleted. Details you submit through the Free Test form are kept only as long as needed to handle your request - generally deleted around six months after completion - and for our legitimate business records.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to be informed and to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
